Hey all, Ive decided to take advantage of the technology at my disposal, and with the help of Microsoft, ive been able to create and design liveries for my car with out actually buying a car! Bad weather indeed. My first weekend out at the race track and i couldn’t have picked a better one. I arrived Saturday morning, bright eyed and bushy tailed, well not really but eager to find out what it was like to take part in a race team.
Purchased my Racing suit. All my gear was purchased from Revolution Racegear. I would definitely recommend Revolution, and Ricky as the guys to see for all your Race gear needs. Racing suit is FIA rated Tier 1, which means i can use this suit to race in the V8 Developments, NZ V8’s and Mini Series. Gloves are basic level gloves, not rated Tier 1 but still fire resistant to protect my hands. Boots are Tier 1 boots made by Puma. Top level boots, very light and sturdy (no picture) . Finally helmet is actually a Motorcycle hemlet, Matt black and grey design. It can be used in car racing and will still provide the protection I need in the event of a crash. Not that i plan for that to happen of course! However cannot be used in Tier 1 Events such as NZV8’s.. (Thanks Ricky!) Otherwise im very happy with the help i received when getting the gear from Ricky. He also hooked me up with a bag to store all my gear in.. I have created a new sponsorship page as well as a biography.. Its still in the making but feel free to have a read (links are on the right) Thanks guys and i look forward to seeing everyone down at Pukekohe this weekend.. I’ll have my own commentary on the weekend and hopefully well get to see some excellent racing
It came in the mail today! My Racing licence.. nothing too fancy, just a little card with my name on it.. beautiful! RIGHT now onto some real news Im racing end of next month, i was offered and have accepted a lease drive at manfield raceway so it will be my first real experience racing in a real race… exhilarating! i of course will keep you posted with updates as they come in
Hey guys Update, I Passed my racing licence!! HOORAY!! lol Just need to send away the forms then it should come in the next week. Along with this i scoped out a racing suit today, probably going to buy it.. www.chicane.co.nz is the guys that are selling it.. check it out.. Black and Red me thinks i might go for on colours Once thats sorted i just need to get me the car then ill be racing!

Hey Guys, finally i have my blog back up and running.. I’ll be searching for all the content i had on my old blog to replace here.. First subject however, i’d like to let you know my progress on my MotorSport Career. I signed up to a Club last week.. Paid my fees etc, now im in the progress of sourcing a car, some protective gear and and sitting my National Race Licence.. My National Race licence ill be sitting this Thursday, 7th Feb ‘08. It basically consists of a couple of things, 1 written test, 1 oral test.. ** HEY NOT LIKE THAT ** rude bastards.. lol And a Medical. ** HEY WHAT DID I JUST SAY! ** ok thats it ill kick your ass if your laughing.. Its serious you guys.. Anyway, heres a peek at the test. Its pretty basic but goes over some very important rules to follow when racing.. Actually set down by the FIA, (Federation Internationale de l’Automobile) International Motorsport Federation. You break those rules and you in for fines and if its really bad, expulsion from the sport! OUCH.. Better be a good boy then i think Anyway for more information visit NZ Motorsport.
