TR Motorsport is officially underway with the purchase of its first race ready Rx7:
It was delivered today as a package and time will be spent working on the vehicle to lower its weight and to increase its HP within the confines of the restrictions of the class. At this point I imagine its colour will remain relatively the same for the time being until we secure a decent cashflow to repaint the vehicle. At which time it should be ready for the new season. In the mean time, expect to see me at various tracks throughout the country learning and practicing for the coming season, the last thing we want is a driver who has had no practice ;). TR Motorsport is still looking for sponsorship so if you are interested, or know anyone who could potentially be interested in sponsoring the team, please contact us today. Thanks
Once again i come to you with another update Race two Race two had me starting from 12th out of 20th on the grid. It was dry in the morning, a little cold but managable. I got off to a great start staying right behind the top 10 cars and managing to take the inside line infront of Deb Hill who started beside me. This was brilliant, rounding first i was right in behind the leaders with about two car lengths between me and the guys behind.
Hey guys heres me with another update! Nearly slept in… whoops forgot to set my alarm! Arrived at the track at 8.15 am 30 minutes before a new drivers briefing and 1 hour before the start of our qualifying session.. They put us out first for qualifying which was fun.. Cold track cold tyres meant we weren’t going to hit the faster lap times until the later laps. This was relatively uneventful in terms of carnage but i felt i had a really good run in the car. It was handling well and had great grip through the corners despite it being a bit cold.
Great News! My first race, and last race of the season for the Mazda Pro7 series will be televised. |
